Museum of Art Information

When is the museum open?

The Dousyu Art Museum is open every Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (last admission is 5:30 p.m.). The museum is closed on Mondays (if Monday is a national holiday, the museum will be open and closed on the following weekday).

Is there an admission fee?

Admission:

Half-price for disabled persons and one caregiver. Special exhibitions may incur additional fees.

Are there rest areas or cafes in the museum?

There is a cafe "Dousyu Salon" (offering snacks and drinks) and an outdoor garden on the 1st floor, and a rest lounge (free of charge) on the 3rd floor. Eating and drinking are only allowed in these areas.

Is the hotel barrier-free?

All buildings are equipped with wheelchair-accessible elevators and multipurpose restrooms. Free wheelchair rental (reservation required) and voice guidance for the visually impaired are also available.

Is it possible to take pictures?

Photography (without flash or tripod) is allowed in the permanent exhibition area, but may be prohibited in special exhibitions and some works for protection. Please check the signage on the spot.

Is there parking available?

There is a dedicated parking lot for the museum (fee required).

We recommend that you use public transportation. The nearest station is JR Okachimachi station (8 minutes walk).

Are group tours available?

Groups of 10 or more people can receive a discount of 10% on the admission fee with an advance reservation (advance notice required). Separate consultation is available for educational use by schools, welfare facilities, etc.

What if I forget something?

Lost and found items in the museum will be kept for 3 months at the 1st floor general information desk. If you have any questions, please call us at 012-3456-7890.
